As we know that English has become a global language; we need more practice English if we want to speak it fluently. However, it is hard for me to speak or practice English outside of school. Because my friends speak Chinese, we seldom speak English when we gather. if i talk to them in English, they would feel weird.
At first when i spoke English, i considered the grammar structure then i would speak out. I have to take some time to organize the conversation before answering. Later i found that it was too slow and it wasn't naturally. Now i speak English by my hunch; however, i know that it could be lots of mistakes. i think when people speak foreign language, they speak it flowing their native language's structure. your native language will affect the language you speak and learn. For example, some language;s verb comes after object; however, in American's grammar verb comes before object. when they speak English, they might make this mistake.
The only way to learn a language well is more and more practice. Then you would get used to the grammar and the way or tone they speak.

I can’t believe this semester will finish soon; time goes so
fast. I learned a lot during this semester, such as managing time, argument
essay and citation. Argument essay is a new type of essay that I haven’t
written it before. When I was in intermediate level, I had written some types
of essay, but I didn’t try argument essay. Comparing to previous essay, it was
more challenge. Citation was also hard for me because it was the first time to learn it,
but it was useful. Due to upgrading level from intermediate, I have more
challenge assignments so I need to spend more time doing it. Besides, I also
have to focus on studies. Therefore, it is important to manage time.

topic#5 favorite place
I remember when I was in elementary school, I still needed
to go to school on Saturday. At that time, my favorite place was my
grandmother’s home. My sister , my
cousin and I went to grandmother’s house after class. When we arrived at her
house, we started watching drama and cartoon. After watching them, we hang out
with neighbors, or looked for inset. Sometimes we would stay my grandmother’s
home till Sunday and went mountain climbing.
For us, Saturday afternoon and grandmother’s house was a
happy memory full of noise and fun. We expected Saturday coming every day. Now
we don’t have to go to school on Saturday anymore and all of us have own live;
we seldom can gather together. But I still miss that time.

When I was in university, I was major in information
management. My parents respected what I chose, but I knew they preferred
language major. After studying two years for information management, I found
that it was difficult for me and I was not good at writing program. I started
to consider whether I changed my major or not.
Then I decided to change my major to English Literature. I chose it
because I thought it was more simple than writing program. It was really easier
for me to finish my Bachelor degree, but I had good friends and great time in
information management major. I intend to finish master degree then get a job.
The most ideal job to me is to work at foreign company. However, if I want to
work for foreign company, I have to take business degree. It’s a dilemmatic
situation.

topic#3 obstacle
So far, I haven’t met any big obstacles like Nick Vujicic,
and I am so happy that I am a lucky girl. However, people must have some
obstacles every stage in their life. Compare with Nick Vujicic; everything I faced
was nothing. Now the obstacle I encounter is to focus on my TOEFL. I have lots
of TOEFL practice at hand, but I cannot focus and finish it. Every time I do
the practice, I am always distracted by smart phone. Or do the TOEFL and chat
with my friends. I cannot stop the temptation. That’s terrible….

Topic #2 Spring break
I traveled to Seattle for four days during spring break; it
is really different from California. On the first day, we went to Seattle
downtown, Pike Market, and Space Needle tower. We also tried clam chowder; it
was really tasty. On the following days,
we took tour ride, visited Safeco field,
flight museum, and chocolate factory, and watched night view. We visited
lots of places, but the most impressive for me is Safeco field tour. When we
took Safeco field tour, we could visit baseball field and dugout where baseball
players took a rest. These places are not allowed people to visit; however, we
not only visited it but also took a picture.
Seattle is a nice place to visit. It has beautiful scene,
many museums and convenient transportation system. The most important is kind
people. Every time when we asked someone to guide us, they were pleasant to
tell us. We met a foreigner who can speak Taiwanese and had lived in Taiwan;
his hometown is in Anahiem. It was surprising. However, it was kind of
dangerous at night when walking in downtown because there were many black men
and homeless. No matter what it did, I liked this trip.

Topic #1 Spring break
For the coming spring break, I have planned a trip to
Seattle, and we have booked the fight and hotel. At first, I prefer going to
Hawaii, but the flight ticket is too high. We will stay for four days. We are
going to Pike market, Niddle Tower, the first Starbucks and malls. My friends
suggest that we have to try clam chowder in the market and visit the museums. She
said that clam chowder is fresh and some museums are free on the first
Thurseday every month. She also mentioned that transportation in Seattle is
convenient; we don’t worry about the transportation. Now it is time for cherry
blossoms to bloom; it’s beautiful there. I hope I would have a great time in
Seattle.
